Why these marches?

Urgency

The participants in these marches share a great concern about the worldwide environment, the immense energy consumption and as a result threatening (and already ongoing) climate change, for example global warming, more powerful storms, and other severe weather conditions such as droughts. Action is urgent now.

From the grassroots

These marches started small. We hope that more people will feel the urgency of the climate problem and will participate.

How will it get bigger?

We commit ourselves to participate in these climate marches as often as possible and to take somebody else next time as well.

Therefore we phone seven people and invite them to walk with the next climate march. If one out of these seven says yes, and participates, the number of people will double each march.

Finally

We hope the consciousness of this immense problem will grow here and in other countries, from small to large. And we hope the political parties and governments will act accordingly.
